Affinity Federal Credit Union’s 25th Annual Golf Outing Raises Over $200,000 to Fight Poverty
On Monday, June 12th, over 100 golfers attended the annual Affinity Federal Credit Union President’s Invitational at Stanton Ridge Golf & Country Club in Whitehouse, NJ. The event raised $214,696 to support the Affinity Foundation’s commitment to serving its communities and fighting poverty.
The event featured a scramble golf tournament on the par-71 course and afterwards, golfers enjoyed a dinner reception and online auction to close out the day. “I’m continually blown away by the support of the community,” stated Karla Wallack, Executive Director of the Affinity Foundation. “We are thankful for the generosity of the outing’s supporters and are excited to utilize the funds raised to further our vision of ending the cycle of poverty for those we serve.”
The Affinity Foundation would like to thank the golfers, volunteers, and 32 corporate sponsors for their support and participation. This year’s Titanium Sponsors included Allied Solutions, CUMAnet, Fiserv, KEV Security, Vericast and Visa.
Funds raised at the event will further the Foundation’s mission to improve financial wellness, enable self-sufficiency and expand the reach of its ongoing community programs. The Foundation’s current initiatives include the Member Relief Fund, Individual Development Account (IDA) matched savings program, annual scholarship program, and multi-year and charitable grants programs that support nonprofits aligned with our pillars of education, financial wellbeing and healthcare.
“We look forward to seeing what the future holds for the Affinity Foundation and the support we are able to offer to the community and can’t wait for next year’s event!” added Karla.
